Chris Brown is in a fight with his emotions as he has lost the girl of his dreams. He is numb, desperate to experience the same feelings he once did with his ex partner. No one is her, but everywhere he goes reminds him of her.

SUMMARY
We watch CHRIS BROWN in a range of different locations trying to ‘feel something’ however he isn’t able to enjoy the present time. CHRIS BROWN attends the strip club for a private dance with JESSICA where he fails to be present - he cannot enjoy the session, feeling numb and in a state of paralysis. At home whilst in bed CHRIS BROWN is in a state of paralysis and hallucinates his ex partner CHLOE, intimately all over him (acting to the lyrics of the song). Around the house, a silhouette of CHLOE presents itself as a reminder of her presence. In his car CHRIS BROWN is impaired by alcohol, reminiscing the conversations between himself and his ex partner CHLOE, ready to drive over to her house at any moment. CHRIS BROWN dances in an unknown black space, where he is not numb, expressing himself through dance.

SCENE 1 - BED ROOM
A POV shot of CHRIS BROWN laying down in bed ‘stuck’. He cannot move his body but he can sing his lyrics.
Whilst CHRIS BROWN is laying there stuck, CHLOE will be sexually caressing him and ‘dancing’ on him, where CHRIS BROWN can only look but not feel as she is not actually there... it is an hallucination he is experiencing during his paralysis.
SCENE 2 - BATHROOM
CHRIS BROWN walks around the house where he sees a silhouette of CHLOE taking a shower. He stands there and stares at it whilst singing, then undraws the curtain to find out CHLOE is not behind it.
SCENE 3 - STRIP CLUB
CHRIS BROWN is at the strip club having a private dance by JESSICA. CHRIS BROWN is ‘stuck’ in his chair, only able to sing and move his eyes. The stripper does her thing whilst he watches in the chair.
SCENE 4 - WOMAN DANCING
CHLOE dancing seductively in lingerie.
SCENE 5 - CHRIS BROWN DANCING
CHRIS BROWN dancing solo in a dark redish room to fit in with the red colour scheme. The use of one frame would work here rather than several.
SCENE 6 - CAR
CHRIS BROWN is in his car drinking whilst driving around. He is on route to his ex partners house but this is only revealed at the end of the video. There will also be shots of CHRIS BROWN singing in the car. As well as timelapses of him drinking. A nice medium close-up shot would work for this scene.
B-ROLL
The use of B-Roll of CHRIS BROWN and CHLOE interacting in the past will be used. This enables the audience to experience a range of emotions from happy to sad which CHRIS BROWN is experiencing throughout the music video.
STORY TIMELINE
OPENING SCENE
- CHRIS BROWN is being led to his bedroom by CHLOE. CHLOE holds his hand whilst guiding him to his bedroom.
- The door opens and we zoom to CHRIS BROWNS face in bed from a POV angel. CHRIS BROWN says “I need to feel something!”, CHRIS BROWNS eyes close and we dip to a black screen.
- CHRIS BROWN is at the strip club. First we are focussed on JESSICA, then we pan to CHRIS BROWN when he repeats “I need to feel something.”, at this point JESSICA is walking toward him to start her act.
STORY TIMELINE
THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO
- Throughout the video we will visit each of the different scenes (strip club, home, car, CHRIS BROWN dancing and CHLOE dancing), keeping in mind the lyrics of the song.
- We must show a sense of time moving forward with the car scene as CHRIS BROWN will end up at his ex-partners house.
STORY TIMELINE
ENDING SCENE
- CHRIS BROWN will in his car driving to CHLOE’S house and once he gets there, he sees the silhouettes of CHLOE and a male through CHLOE’S bedroom window.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This Music Video Treatment for Chris Brown - Feel Something is simply a concept created in accordance to Chris Brown’s usual style of work.
Chris Brown is a king of all trades which is why this treatment would work really well and why creativity doesn’t have a limit here.
The colour scheme for this music video is shades of red and black. The use of red works well as it symbolises sexuality, desire, love and joy as well as negatives such as anger which are all present within this piece.
